As always an enjoyable read

As always this is a very enjoyable book. I love this author/series and have many of her books. They are well written, though sometimes the plot resolution occurs too quickly, and are not riddled with typos. Ms. Flynn does an excellent job writing characters that you can feel for. My only complaint (and the reason I can only give 4 stars instead of 5) is the huge volume of ads or samples of other books at end, approximately 25% of the book. This is unreasonable and if there is going to be that large a volume of ads at the end they should absolutely not be included in the page count provided upon purchase. When I see a 100+ page count, I expect all those pages to be part of the story. Otherwise, I do not feel as though I am getting my money's worth. I will continue to buy this series and would recommend it to others. I would just like to see some more honesty with regards to the page count.

Another awesome book in this series.

The author wrapped the characters up in bright pretty bows and delivered them straight to my heart. I think this is probably my favorite one yet (I know, I know, I’ve said that before, but this time I really mean it). I laughed and cried all the way thru the story. Can you imagine having the name of Oddfinn? Odd is the youngest, smallest, and the smartest of the Lundberg brothers. All 3 of his older brothers had one dream that brought them to the school so they could find and save their mates. But Odd has been having different dreams for the last 4 years and he spent that time doing what God wanted him to. So, when he finally gets to the school, God makes sure that one of the first people he meets is his mate, Seth. But he isn’t there to save Seth, he’s there to help save everyone. Seth has been at the school for several years, and knows the routine and is raising his son Danny. But Odd doesn’t like children and they don’t like him!!! I really liked Odd, he doesn’t always relate well to others and it takes getting him to start rambling before he is able to finally tell Seth how he feels. I love how the author involves characters from oprior stories so that we know what is going on with them, letting us know who is sleeping on the couch tonight. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Think I will start re-reading the series from the beginning. I would strongly recommend this series and this author to anyone who likes m/m and some very well written stories.

Another Winner--Another Lundberg

I have been waiting for the runt of the litter. Wow, did his brothers miss the mark--someone should have said he was a genius. Well, not at relationships, but in legal manuerving he is a genius. He came in with truckloads of stuff, a full vision, and a remedy for the problem introduced in the last book. There is some drama with meeting his mate and announcing it to the group before telling his mate! There is also the problem with Seth's son having a crush on Odd (good name, huh?). Flynn continues to craft believable main characters who I can identify with every time. I know, I have to suspend disbelief for hellhounds, angels, and seraphim, but, other than that--believable and human--err, you get the idea. She gives her characters quirks and foibles--because, well, most of us have them and where is the story if they were perfect? I recommend this book--but read all of them because you will get confused otherwise.

A story you won't soon forget!

Pieces of Jade was everything I had hoped for and more! The mystery, action, pirates, and magic woven throughout was fantastic! I love stories with a strong, selfless protagonist. This was a fantastic story and was easy to get lost in. Loved it!

A fantastic adventure

Pieces of Jade by Lani Woodland and Melonie Piper is the fantastic story of Jade, the Emmía, whose blood is sacred to her kingdom. Her blood is what keeps the soil fertile and the kingdom thriving. She feels honored to server her kingdom, though she knows she will die young in child birth due to her frequent blood sacrifices and not having a strong constitution.

When a mistake and series of circumstances end with Jade losing her medallion and having to throw her lot in with pirates, she feels like all is lost. Little does she know, she is right where she should be. This story has excitement and adventure. I loved all the different elements brought together. The Emmía possesses her own strong magic, just waiting to be unbound. There are witches, pirates, and those who would stop at nothing to have the Emmía and control her power.

Pieces of Jade is the first in the Pirates of Orea series and I truly cannot wait to read the next one. This is the book I chose as my first book to start reading in 2014. I am so happy I did. It delivered exactly what I was hoping: magic, adventure and love.

A wonderful adventure that keeps up until the very end!

I admit, when I read the summary I thought this book may not be for me as I am not someone who is "into" pirates. I was wrong and after the first few paragraphs I got sucked into Jade's world. I found myself being taken on a journey with adventures and double-crosses I never saw coming. I found myself wanting to pick up the story and keep reading it even though I knew I had to go to bed.
It was so refreshing to read a story that had an original plot line. Also, the authors gave the reader a deep background of everything in the book so you aren't left with any gaping holes in the plot. You can tell Lani and Melonie worked long and hard on this story and the effort is outstanding. The ending was perfect, a threat of a cliffhanger and a few loose ends that need to be tied up. I look forward to reading the next book in this series!

A great guide to catch or prove innocent

It is definitely a terrible thing when someone cheats on their loved one, but it happens every day to thousands. I have been unsure for quite some time, but a lot of the signs were there. Disassociation from me, lower sex drive, wanting to spend more time out alone and have more privacy, etc. I feared the worst so I went online to see if there was any help on figuring this out without a shadow of a doubt. Most things that came up were about private investigators, charging hundreds! Well no thanks I will investigate myself, and luckily I found this book.

This book is a great recourse if you are suspecting a cheating spouse. Not only does it tell you many of the signs to look for (some I hadn't thought of), it gives you step by step instructions on proving the supposed cheater guilty or innocent. it is very obvious that the author has not only been cheated on, but really did some hardcore research on the subject.

I am happy to say that this book has actually lifted my spirits. Upon using its probing techniques I discovered that she was not cheating on me. Many of the signs she was showing match a cheaters behavior, but this was all caused by menopause. Without this book I may have gone a very long time with thinking she had cheated, and who knows what I might have done.

That is the main reason I think this book is fantastic, it can prove your most painful suspicions so you can deal with it and move on with life (The book even contains sections about legal action you can take against a spouse cheating.), or it can lead you to the other truth and clear your conscious of this terrible thing happening.

This May be Just the Guide for You

If you think your spouse is cheating, then you might want to pick up this guide. In this book Alba starts by telling her own story of being cheated on. She shares what she learned in her life with us. This way you know what to look for in your spouse. She covers the usual things like nervousness, staying late at work, and taking trips. She also gives a lot of other things that could indicate a cheating spouse.

This guide covers everything. It talks about how to uncover evidence of wrong doing. It talks about the best time and way to confront the cheater. It talks about steps to take to make sure you and your kids are safe.

Honestly, anyone in a relationship should grab this and read it. It might help you discover a cheating spouse before it causes too much damage.

Finding Out the Truth about a Cheating Husband Is Hard -- Get Support

For years, I have let the question of my husband's infidelity eat me up. This book helped me gain the confidence to face my fears. In my case, it was the worst case scenario, but I am so much happier now that I know about the marriage infidelity and I'm picking up the pieces and getting on with things. It gave some great advice on what to do next, too. I would give one caveat on how to catch your cheating spouse, don't open up this can of worms without having a plan in place. This book helped me do that. I also sought the help of my friends, family, and counselor to help me get through the depression of catching a cheating husband. Not to mention, how insulted I was when I found out who he was cheating on me with!!! It was a real blow to my ego. This lady was not a supermodel to say the least.

And, if you find out you were wrong, even better! I wish that happened to me, but I would highly advise still seeking marriage counseling because there are trust issues. (The book addresses that too.)

OMG I really loved this book, and the Characters, Max and Charlotte! Great together but takes them for ever!

Oh how I loved this book, I was given a free ARC for an honest review!

First time reading from the author Shanna Clayton, and I fell in love with the characters, I just wanted for Charlotte to have more control of her self, but I know how we women act, we over analyze things too much, and sometimes, it just directs us to something we don't want.

Charlotte is so hurt because of her boyfriend Miles, she wants to escape, not sure where to go, she leaves Gainesville towards Miami, to see if a stranger she only met once, would help her.

Then there's Max Archer, now about couple of years back, he was saved by Charlotte, he was stabbed and she scarred the robbers away with her gun. She went to the hospital, and once he recovered, she went on her way, during spring break. Basically Max owed her his life, he thought she was gorgeous, but for a messed up guy like him, its glad he didn't ask any information more from her.

Well this stranger Charlotte goes and visit is Max. She figure that maybe he can owe her a favor by staying a couple of weeks until she gets a job and enough money to find a place in Miami, but she was so distraught, and tired, Max listened to her and with conditions, he let her stay.

But those conditions were going to be very tough. Can they get a long, Max had his life stolen from him as a young man, in search of the person that took his family, and Charlotte is trying to gather herself, from a broken relationship, that she's known all her life, with her family and friends looking for her, they both need help. Can they help each other out?

Well, you have to read this book, it keeps you wanting to know what happened to Max, and will Max let Charlotte get close to him?

The characters are well liked, not predictive, kept me wanting to read and not put this book down, buy the book.

LOVED it!

I LOVED this. It was amazing. It was addicting. I couldn’t put it down.

Of course, parts of it really didn’t make sense…they kept feeling this undeniable attraction even though they didn’t know each other at all, and Max seemed to have no self-control at the most random times but acted like a total jerk at others. And Charlotte really wasn’t as I expected either—I didn’t expect her to wear her emotions on her sleeve, but that’s who she was, and I admired that because it took out the whole mind-game aspect that a lot of relationships (and potential ones) have. Honestly that probably saved a lot of time. The book would have been twice as long, I’m sure of it.

And luck came into play as well. It wasn’t entirely up to the characters. But they worked for what they got. I enjoyed the book’s ability to make me feel. I don’t know if it was because I could relate or not, but something was different with this book and it had me feeling things. For example, I was heartbroken and furious right along with Char when she was dealing with the whole ex-boyfriend thing. I could feel all the emotions the characters were feeling and it surprised me—even though it’s pretty normal for me to get involved in a book that way.

There was also some humor. Mostly Max was pretty tough and Char was pretty chill when it came to narration style, but sometimes—usually with Max—there would be some really hilarious moments. The book really was a great blend of good things.

Actually, thinking more about it, I admire Charlotte’s attitude more and more. She’s the kind of girl who needs to talk through things rather than hold grudges. She won’t be as relentlessly loyal as I would prefer, but she’ll be pretty darn loyal. She’ll get straight to the point about things. She’ll understand you. And she likes things to be clear and defined, rather than confusing and messy. And she won’t take no for an answer.

Even with bada** heroines, all those traits aren’t usually present—at least not all at once. Usually, those types of heroines have weaknesses along those more emotional lines—they give in to their emotions, lose control like Max does, give up trying to understand how they feel, and just go with it while the partner takes the reins. Char had the advantage of both being a bada** (she can shoot a gun with amazing accuracy, what more need be said) and very clear about what she needs emotionally. Maybe not what she wants all the time, but she—or at least her subconscious—knows what she needs.

Loved the book. I would welcome it on my shelves.

Really good!

Charlotte saved Max life and two years later when she needed time to change her life for good , she shows up at Max's house to collect that "debt" that will not only change her life but will also change Max's.

I super duper loved this book since page 1.
Max had a tragic past that stop him for loving someone else, or at least that is what he tells to himself. The only goal in his life was to find the responsible that destroyed his life. But that was until he met Charlotte for the second time. Breaking all of his own rules Max find himself given into Charlotte little by little.
The relationship builds little by little, is not the kind of insta-love or something like that. Max knows that has feeling for Charlotte but he will deny them at all costs or try to. His main rule was stay away from Charlotte avoid the whole friendship thing but every time he sees her all sad and depress from a broken heart he can not help it but talk to her about it.
This was a great book! I really loved it from the beginning. There was nothing wrong with it. For me it was perfect and I finished it very fast which is a good sign!
The characters were all great, I loved Trevor!
Max:I fell in love with Max , he was so hot!
Charlotte : she annoyed from time to time with her broken-heart , specially with the love potion , who does that ???
If I could I'd give this book 10 stars!

Be ready for Drop-D tuning if your bass can support it.

Overall, very good, and I would recommend. However, a few things to know/understand before you buy.

1. Only one of these movements takes standard E-A-D-G tuning.

2. Tune to D-A-D-G. This may be an issue for you if you have a short scale bass, or a whimpy 105 E string or smaller gauge.

3. None of these are in their true key-signatures. They have truly been "adapted" to bass. That said, you can't really "play along" since you will be in the wrong key.

Again, this is GOOD. But be prepared. This probably should have been written for a 5-String Bass, but I appreciate the effort to adapt for 4-String.

It was a disappointment. Each score featured a detuning of the E string to D. I'm not a professional. I purchased to book for training. It was just not what I needed.

It does not assume any mathematical or scientific background, sophistication, or even motivation to study mathematics. It is meant to be fun and engaging while drawing students in to learn about fundamental topological and geometric ideas. Though the book can be read and enjoyed by nonmathematicians, college students, or even eager high school students, it is intended to be used as an undergraduate textbook. The book is divided into three parts corresponding to the three areas referred to in the title. Part 1 develops techniques that enable two- and three-dimensional creatures to visualize possible shapes for their universe and to use topological and geometric properties to distinguish one such space from another. Part 2 is an introduction to knot theory with an emphasis on invariants. Part 3 presents applications of topology and geometry to molecular symmetries, DNA, and proteins. Each chapter ends with exercises that allow for better understanding of the material. The style of the book is informal and lively. Though all of the definitions and theorems are explicitly stated, they are given in an intuitive rather than a rigorous form, with several hundreds of figures illustrating the exposition. This allows students to develop intuition about topology and geometry without getting bogged down in technical details.

Less difficult than "When Topology Meets Chemistry" and very good introduction to topology.

Really glad to see that Flapan has written an accessible introduction to the subject. Could be a good college text, or basis for summer course for teachers.
